Julien Regnier is a legend of modern freeskiing, both on his skis and when shaping the next generation of twin tips. It makes sense that, when he moved across to the development team at Black Crows, the first ski he designed has stood the test of time. The Atris is this ski, a supremely well-balanced freeride charger which will take you from the highest peak to the valley floor and back again.   Riding Style The Atris is designed to be a freeride ski which can handle all conditions on the mountain, from powder to spring corn and slush. Shape A twin tip with a 108 mm waist and an 18-metre turn radius, the Atris excels in freeriding and backcountry freestyle. The shape guarantees good float in soft snow, but the shorter turning radius allows greater manoeuvrability. The flatter design of the tail gives stability at higher speeds and on steeper slopes.  Flex The Atris has a both firm but forgiving flex pattern, this allows the ski to turn sharply and directly when in the backcountry. Profile Camber underfoot and rocker in the tips and tails of the skis. The double rocker gives great floatation and pivotability this combined the sidecut which flares out in relation to the rocker, the ski is very stable when on edge. Construction The poplar wood core with carbon kevlar strips creates a reliable and responsive ski with great pop, in additions the wood core is robust and durable. The semi-cap construction keeps the swing weight down and keeps the tips and tails durable.
