Tanner Hall’s personal powder and pillow slaying ski.The Armada Magic J is Tanner Halls pro model powder ski, inspired by his trips to BC. As Tanner’s skiing changed so did his skis. The Magic J is a beefier version of the JJ, allowing the insane pillow lines Tanner favours. The original taper of the JJ is brought towards the tip and tail of the ski, still enabling the nimbleness but with a much more stable landing platform. This ski will crush trees, pillows, steep lines and the deepest snow. Ski like Tanner Hall with the Armada Magic J Riding Style Big mountain, deep powder, pillows and anything in-between. Shape The Magic J uses Armada’s 5 dimension sidecut or Elf Shoe Tech (EST), allowing quicker turn initiation and quicker pivoting. The Magic J however, has moved the contact points further away from the centre allowing a longer turning radius and more stability at speed. The Twin Tip allows the ski to be skied forwards or backwards in the powder. Profile The ski uses Armada’s EST Freeride Rocker, rockered tip and tails but with positive camber underfoot. This promotes flotation from the tips but still gives edge grip on hard pack and steep faces. Flex Tip – 6.5, Waist – 7.5, Tail – 7 (1 = softest, 10 = stiffest). Slightly stiffer for faster, aggressive skiing, bigger drops and steep mountains. Konstruktion Hybrid Ultra-light Core provides dampness and control underfoot, combined with Laminate Matrix which gives torsional rigidity and keeps the ski lively. AR50 sidewall construction gives grip underfoot but minimises weight at the tip and tail. The S7 base is both fast and durable.
