From kickers to cliffs, the Empire can handle it all. The shaft on this design is not only softer but also slightly shorter, which allows maximum freedom of movement, without impairing stability or energy transmission. Outer Boot The Dupont® Surlyn highback contributes to the durability and stability of the boot. Combined with additional reinforcements, the highback also aids in dictating its stiffness. The waterproof and breathable membrane ensures your feet stay warm and dry. By better securing the boot to your shin, the Powerstrap adds additional support to its lacing system. The waterproof and breathable D-Tex Membrane ensures your feet stay warm and dry. The Custom Flex Construction enables you to adjust the support and responsiveness of your boots. And to further secure a rider’s foot, this design also features ankle lacing. Available as an accessory, the TPS Shield strengthens a boot’s tongue, providing a stiffer flex and additional support. The Asym Flex for all-mountain riding offers a large flex area and soft reinforcement on the boot’s inside for maximum comfort, while the small flex area and stiff reinforcement on the boot’s outside deliver complete support. A defined fold one in the joint area also eliminates bulging to provide strong heel hold and a refined flex.  Outsole When it’s time to explore, tap the Remedy outsole. Although based on a classic design, this beefy sole has a streamlined silhouette. In addition to shedding weight, this allows crampons to more closely hug the sole. A fade-out profile reduces the boot’s footprint while Slytech One foam in the heel provides additional cushioning. Spikes in the toe area offer unrivalled traction while sharp edges aid in traversing. And thanks to a self-cleaning design, the tread is quick to shed snow and ice.  Liner The Performance Flex liner is designed to offer premium performance and optimal support. The highback provides stability while special L-shaped pads anchor the heel. No more blisters or shin bite.  Lacing System Two handles allow you to adjust the boot’s Section Control Lacing system and its three target zones. The FLD base features a removable design that screws easily into the boot’s shell. In addition to locking laces in place, this base offers enhanced protection from snow and ice, as well as impacts.
