Material: 120 MERINO TEC For the 120 MERINO TEC line, ORTOVOX uses a material mix made from 85% virgin wool (merino)  and 15% polyamide. The elaborate manufacturing process (CORESPUN technology by the  Südwolle Group©) of this exclusive yarn make it so special: The finest merino fibers are spun around a core of polyamide fibers. This spinning technique creates a yarn with a smooth fabric appearance and low volume. This makes it possible to produce a material that is extremely lightweight and elastic, yet extremely robust, durable and less susceptible to pilling. The 120 MERINO TEC LINE therefore combines the stability and durability of polyamide with the proven qualities of merino wool. ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP) Since 1995, merino wool has been an integral component of ORTOVOX’s mountainwear. Our merino wool comes from selected farms that comply with our own wool standard: the ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE. ORTOVOX obtains its virgin wool from certified and ethical sheep farms. These farms are regularly monitored within the framework of the OWP. The wool is naturally 100% ecological and therefore super sustainable.
